The short version
- Your logs and answers are yours. We use them only to run the app for you.
- No ads, no selling of data, no tracking across other apps.
- Only your leaderboard nickname and game scores are visible to other users.
- You can delete your account and all its data from Settings at any time.
1. Who we are
Smokr is published by Haxoria, Belgium, the controller of your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Contact us at support@smokr.com for any question about your data.
2. What we collect
- Account: your email address and password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored only in hashed form; we never see them.
- Your setup answers: your goal, the products you use (cigarettes, roll-your-own, vapes, cigars, CBD or other), how much you use, prices and currency, nicotine strength, when you first smoke or vape in the day, your triggers and your dependence score.
- Your logs: each time you log, the date and time, the product, the amount (for example the number of puffs), and the cost and time calculated from your setup.
- Your purchases: packs, refills and accessories you choose to record, with their price and date, to show your actual spending and what is left.
- Goals and preferences: your targets, chosen theme, language and statistics settings.
- Games: your leaderboard nickname, game scores, achievements and, for one-versus-one games, your matches and rating. During a match your opponent sees your nickname and your moves.
- Quick logging (iPhone and Apple Watch, optional): a random key that lets Back Tap, Siri and your watch log without opening the app. We keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy of it.
- AI coach (optional): how many messages you sent each day, to apply the daily limit. We do not store the conversation on our servers.
- Subscription: whether you have Smokr Pro and until when, your free trial (counted from the day you created your account), and, if you were invited by a friend, their referral code.
- Profile photo: stays on your device. We only store a reference to the file, which no other device can open.
Information about your smoking and vaping can reveal something about your health, so we treat it as sensitive data and process it only with your explicit consent, which you give by entering it, and can withdraw at any time by deleting it or your account.
3. What we do with it
- Show your counts, money and time spent, progress, streaks, charts and history.
- Calculate your targets and personalised plan.
- Run the game leaderboards and match you with other players.
- Give the AI coach the context it needs to answer you, when you use it.
- Unlock the features you paid for, and reward referrals.
- Keep the app secure, answer your messages, and fix problems you report.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or build profiles about you for anyone else. The legal bases are: performing our contract with you (running your account and your subscription), your explicit consent (health-related answers and logs), and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
4. Who else handles it

Other players see only your nickname, best scores and rating. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. When they do, the transfer is protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
5. How long we keep it
As long as you have an account. When you delete your account (Settings, then Delete Account), your account, logs, products, purchases, goals, quick-logging keys, game scores, achievements and matches are permanently erased. Copies in our providers' backups expire after their normal backup cycle. Subscription records kept by Apple, Google and RevenueCat follow their own retention rules, which tax law may require.
6. On your device
The app stores a few things on your phone: preferences (theme, language, chart range, music, the product you last selected), your coach conversation, achievements and game scores waiting to be sent, and your sign-in. Notifications, if you allow them, are created on your phone to confirm quick logs; we do not send marketing notifications.
7. This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party trackers. Fonts and images are served from this site itself. Like any web server, our host may keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
8. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw your consent at any time. Most of this you can do in the app; for anything else, email support@smokr.com and we will answer within one month. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (www.dataprotectionauthority.be) or the authority where you live.
9. Age
Smokr is meant for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS), access to it is restricted to your own account by our database rules, and quick-logging keys are stored hashed. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you if a breach affects you, as the law requires.
11. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
